New Year's Eve was spent at Drefan's place alongside with Zoe, Grace, Limei, Huiwei and Kelton. BenJ and Cheesecake dropped by for a while too.

It was a potluck party with (as usual) too much food for the girls to handle, the guys also did not eat alot >_> The pizza was almost gone, my stash of Old Chang Kee got cleared, the fried noodles Grace's dad made was totally cold. Curry chicken... It looked totally untouched. So was the bread... BenJ brought doughnuts D8 They ended up as breakfast. The booze turned out to be the same dessert wine Aries got for her xmas party o_O I had half a cup ;P

Gaming... PS3 with SC4, Tekken 6, Assassin's creed, Brutal Legend, Sengoku BASARA 3, Bayonetta. Only games i did not touch were Assassin's Creed and Bayonetta. Tekken 6 and SC4 were chances to release the mashing noob girl inside me coz i cannot figure out the controls (other than slam, i am jian). Brutal Legend was Huiwei's new game, the main character is voiced by Jack Black LOL

It's like a twisted metal version of DMC, with better weapons and rides that make you puke blood driving them. But it was still fun, listening to Jack Black's lines are enough to keep you entertained. \m/(_ _)\m/

BASARA 3, very first time to play it but looking at a split screen on a 28" TV was not the best experience...

ALL OF US MISSED THE COUNTDOWN BECAUSE WE WERE WATCHING A STUPID VIDEO ABOUT THE PHYSICS OF CLOTHING IN GAMES, THANKS TO KELTON!

The gaming rounds went on until 4-5am before the last of us dropped dead to sleep in the living room. I was 2nd last to sleep at 4.50am and was the first to wake up at 7.20am. I BLAME DREFAN'S CATS! *points* MEOWING NON-STOP IN THE MORNING IN SUCH A LOW TONE! You guys sound like Gary! After that was the garbage truck...

7.20am!!! What am i to do until someone else wakes up and suffer with me? Only 1 thing to do. Try to go back to sleep and fail miserably... Limei was 2nd to wake up at like 8.15am. We tried to poke Kelton up but end up ruffling Grace awake instead. We needed a chain reaction LOL

The whole party was up by 9am, we helped ourselves to the leftovers for breakfast, namely the doughnuts. I did not want something that sweet to sit in my empty stomach, so plain bread would do. Besides, doughnuts were all gone. We slacked and slowly wait for our systems to start up before packing everything up for home.

Got home at about 11am with a proper breakfast, there laying on my desk was a bubble envelope! My eyes immediately lit up and they sparkled upon seeing that it was from Hong Kong. That could only mean 1 thing, MY BASARA 3 DISC IS HERE!!!!!!! That acted as my caffeine. Funny thing is i played it less than 12 hours ago...



The game is here, it needs a console to run it. I also need to make room for it on the TV bench, the thing desperately need a wipe as well. After cleaning, i took some time off and laid down. My bed never felt so good before... Booze and a little over 3 hours of sleep did not put me down but it gave me a heavy head. I kept drifting in and out of falling asleep and the rain was making it worse. I can't go out to get my console!

Only left for console shopping at 5pm, it's not really shopping anymore after you have done your market research and decided on the best place to get it. So i went over to Nex AGAIN for a stroll to past the time. More shops were opened AGAIN. One at level 4 caught my eye when it was still furnishing, it is a decorative store but there are different themes to the products they offer. Some totally caught my attention, especially the CNY decorations. The store name is King & King Wong.

I left for Hougang Mall at 7pm. Yes, the best deal i found is there coz i don't wanna find one in town and have to lug the thing all the way back home. The shop didd not have anymore 160GB consoles anymore, they were left with 320GB... I took a while to decide coz my budget was meant for the 160GB, i did not want to overspend... NO MOOLAH ALREADY T^T

An extra $30 for twice the HDD sounds very nice but i don't need that much space... BUT 320GB IS THE ONLY MODEL LEFT! *bites something*

....

FUCK IT. 1st Jan will be the day the TV bench gets cleaned for a new comer as i do not want to tell myself i did it for no good reason. And that i really wanna make 1st Jan 2011 a memorable date.



Welcome to your new home!! I brought the rest of the family here to see you~ My laptop can't fit into the frame... The PS2 is sitting under the DVD player, everything is so black/ dark you can't see nuthin.

Took me a good 1.5 hours to set everything up, including registering a PSN, a Japanese PSN to be precise. DLC stuff will be juicer compared to English and the fact that the upcoming games i'm getting will be in Japanese language. What rocked is both consoles can sit beside each other on the TV bench.



The feeling of seeing this is reliving as the PS2 was scheduled to be retired in order to make room for the new room mate.
