Sometimes it annoys me that I cannot openly make my props in front of my mom and sis, in fear of them giving lame or hurtful comments and asking all sorts of questions. I don’t want them to know I got a drill, so it’s going to be even tougher to get things done now. I was not able to do anything over the weekend. I purposely stayed home on Saturday in hopes of getting the flag support perched up. To my horror, the entire family decided to stay home too D8
My uncle came for a visit and lunch yesterday. Imagine opening your bedroom door with bedhair to have somebody asking what is with the 3 swords inside your room (they were placed in full view from the living room). That triggered a chain reaction, my mom and sis also asked where I got them and how much and why I needed so many. 1 of them was the katana umbrella I bought during Cosfest -__________-;
I brought the 2 wooden supports outside for sanding and mom immediately asked what they were for. If I answered truthfully, I’m bound to get asked why go through all the trouble for cosplay. I’m the only person who gets to decide what is troublesome to me, thanks. Having a family who knows but does not say anything about this hobby is totally different from a family that supports. Mom has seen me put up all sorts of things to dry on the laundry pole, she has seen what goes out to dry on the corridor for the past few years. She just doesn’t comment because when she does, I really don’t know what to answer back. Anything can result in a quarrel over why I have not stopped.
