Met with the surgeon yesterday, surgery date is fixed one 07/01/13. Going under general anesthetic because of my epilepsy, the risk of a seizure attack under local anesthetic because i'm too tensed. Scheduled to meet the anesthetist on boxing day morning.

Been advised i need at least 2 weeks to recuperate from the surgery alone and it's mainly to relieve pain and stop any further damage to my nerves which could waste my hand muscles away. Now there's not much pain in my hand, i can't tell is it because the pain really lessened, i'm getting used to it or my nerves are failing to register the sensation... 8(

Spoken to HR assistant manager, she is able to claim my surgery cost using company insurance even though my medisave is able to cover it (the claim goes back into medisave, bleh). I'm left with tackling the recuperation period with HR. Are they willing to have me out of action for 2 weeks?
